Morpho-anatomical characterizationand DNA barcoding analysisof Pluchea indica (L.) Less.. Biodiversitas 23: 4272-4282. Less. is a member of the Asteraceae family and popular as medicinal plant. It very important to authenticate plants using various markers confirm labeling reveal bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical research. This study aims characterize morpho-anatomical aspects P. indica. Three samples obtained from Taman Husada Graha Famili, Surabaya, Indonesia were used in this study. Morphological studies carried out descriptively, while paraffin method was anatomical observations. analysis performed by amplifying aligning rbcLand matKgenes. Morphologically, indicahas organs like general, with specific characteristics leaves flowers. has an organ similar that globally, only there are histological features on its leaves, including anomocytic stomata, glandular cells, multicellular trichomes. Alignment reconstruction phylogenetic tree showed sample closely related GenBank database. Based characters barcodes, plant under confirmed L. (Less).

متن کاملCrude aqueous extracts of Pluchea indica (L.) Less. inhibit proliferation and migration of cancer cells through induction of p53-dependent cell death
BACKGROUND Pluchea indica (L.) Less. (Asteraceae) is a perennial shrub plant with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant medicinal properties. However, the anti-cancer properties of its aqueous extracts have not been studied. The aim of this study was to investigate the anti-proliferation, anti-migration, and pro-apoptotic properties of crude aqueous extracts of P. indica leaf and root on human mali...
